Grunch of Giants, Fuller, R. Buckminster; Applewhite, E. J.
1 Fuller, R. Buckminster; Applewhite, E. J.Grunch of Giants
New York St. Martin's Press 1983 0312351933 / 9780312351939 First Edition Hard Cover Fine Fine 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall
First printing. Quarterbound in grey cloth with blue boards and gilt spine titling. Dust jacket drawing by R. Buckminster Fuller. 98 pages. Index. Book is in fine condition and appears unread. Dust jacket is also fine, crisp. ~~ 'Grunch' stands for 'Gross Universal Cash Heist.' In this sequel to 'Critical Path,' Fuller traces the evolution of multinational corporations from the post-World War II military-industrial complex to the current world economic crisis. He claims that as these economic giants grow beyond the control of the national political units, they threaten bankruptcy of the U.S. and the collapse of the world economic system, "perhaps signaling the emergence of a new form of political and economic organization for the beleaguered inhabitants of Spaceship Earth." Written 25 years ago, just before his death, Fuller's chilling prophesy seems to be coming true. ~~ In clear archival cover. A perfect first edition copy.
