Oversize book; black boards with silver titling. 162 pages + 7 additional unnumbered pages with List of Whaling Wall locations, Wyland Biography, Wyland Chronology, Special Thanks, List of Conservation Organizations. Book is clean, tight, interior paging unmarked; bottom edges of covers are rubbed and appear to have been touched up and look nearly fine. Dust jacket is in very nice condition with light, minor scuffing, some crinkling at head of spine and tops of flap folds and light scratch at bottom of back panel. No tears. ~~ A compilation of the renowned environmental marine artist's body of work to date of publication, featuring numerous photographs of his famous life-size "Whaling Walls," his paintings, and his sculptures, accompanied by descriptions by Wyland himself. In the center of the book is a long fold-out depicting the stages of production of Whaling Wall XXXI, on the side of the Southern California Edison Power Plant in Redondo Beach, CA. A beautiful collection of Wyland's work. In archival cover. This is a large heavy book, and may require additional postage.
