There is an introductory article for each country as well as three to six articles of literary criticism. Following are five sample article titles, one for each country. DENMARK: "Karen Blixen's Place in Modern European Literature." FINLAND: "The Roots of the Finnish War Novel." ICELAND: "A Critical Review of Jakobina Sigurdardottir's 'The Living Water'." NORWAY: "The Attack That Changed To a Defense: Femininity, Love and the Nuclear Family in Sigrid Undset's 'Jenny'." SWEDEN: "The Shortcuts of Thought: On Strindberg's Anthropology."
