V. 1 DJ has some repaired closed tears and a bit of wera at head/heel of spine and top/bottom of front flap folds.. V.2 DJ has watermarking on REVERSE side, but front is not discolored at all, and it has no tears. Both volumes now covered in clear archival covers. Please see bookseller photo. Lime green hardcover with pink and black spine lettering and a black line drawing of Charlie Brown on front cover. Unpaginated. Beleagured Charlie Brown wins his school spelling bee and heads off to the national contest in New York City hoping to be a champion for the first time in his life and to make his school proud. With his signature poignant style, Schulz relays the insecurities of childhood mixed with the quiet reassurance that life goes on. A classic. Book is in fine condition with neglible wear and a single tiny 1/8 " brown spot on top text block hardly worth mentioning. Binding is tight and interior pages clean. Dust jacket is very good plus; shows original $5.95 price, light age soiling along flap folds, very small chips at head/heel of spine and flap folds and two very small chips on bottom back panel.
